Juanita M. Diehl, 77, of Lawson, Missouri, passed away quietly Tuesday, March 10, 2020, after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that contributions be made to Alzheimer’s research. Arrangements were made by Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

Juanita was born on Nov. 14, 1942, in Franklin County, Kansas. She was the only daughter to Floyd and Dorothy (Green) Hackett.

Juanita was married to Charles Raasch on Nov. 12, 1999.

Juanita worked for banks until the 1970s when she started working at Raasch Western Wear in Lawrence, Kansas. She worked there until they closed the doors. She then went back into the banking business and worked at FDIC for many years. She finished up her working career at Farmland in Kansas City.

She loved her animals, particularly horses. She was happiest trail riding with friends. Charlie and Juanita always went on at least two or three weeklong trail rides each year. This is where they could enjoy riding horses, camping and spending time with friends.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Diehl) Hastings and husband, Dale, Lawson, Missouri; son, Darrin Paul and wife, Tracie, Bothell, Washington; grandchildren, Kassandra Murray, Kansas City, Missouri; Hailie and Hannah Paul, of Bothell, Washington; Cody Hastings, Rayville, Missouri; Melissa Lehman, Rayville, Missouri, as well as many other relatives and friends.
