Funeral services were held with burial at Rock Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karley Broers Memorial Fund and sent along with any condolences for family to Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.
Karley Shay was born Sept. 6, 1994, in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Allan Eugene Broers and Mashell Ann Abbot. Karley grew up in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 2013 where she was active in volleyball and cheerleading.
She attended NCCC and loved going to the lake with her family and friends. Karley Shay was the life of the party anywhere she was present. Her smile and sweet nature were apparent, as was her love for you. She was quick to hug you tight and tell you she loved you. Her laugh was contagious and she was always polite and gracious. She loved tailgating and watching and cheering for the KC Chiefs. She loved big crowds, loud music but was wild and free in her nature and loved country cruising and riding in the combine with her dad as a little girl. Karley loved Halloween and dressing up for parties. She was beautiful in spirit and physicality, loved her family fiercely and was the best “Kiki” ever.
