Marty B. Ferrell, 54, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at his home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020 at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Marty Brett Ferrell was born on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1965, in Kansas City, Kansas. the son of Donald Jack and Sharon Irene Bohrn Ferrell, of Pomona.
He graduated from Chanute High School in Chanute, Kansas with the class of 1983 and attended Neosho County Community College in Chanute.
Marty was united in marriage to Angela Lynn Fisher, July 8, 1989, in Independence, Missouri. She survives of their home.
Other survivors include his parents, daughter, Brooke Cathcard and husband, Mike, of Lebo, Kansas; sons, Brian Ferrell and wife, Courtney, of Ottawa; Brad Ferrell (Justyne Wilson), of Ottawa; grandchildren, Lane Dall, of Lebo, Kansas; Greyson Studley, of Ottawa; Harper Ferrell, of Ottawa; Peighton Cathcard, of Lebo, Kansas; Caleb Ferrell, of Ottawa; sisters, Tammy Green and husband, Jim, of Pomona; Christy Shehan and husband, Mike, of Pomona.
He worked 15 years as a service advisor for TransAm Trucking and nine years for Kansas City Peterbilt. Marty also worked in sales 16 years for The Gun Guys in Ottawa.
He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Ottawa, the National Rifle Association, the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Ottawa Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Marty loved spending time with his family, shooting, hunting, and traveling.
