Billy “Bill” Lee Collins, 85, Ottawa, Kansas, passed away March 15, 2021.

He was born March 7, 1936, in Nevada, Missouri, the son of Clyde Oscar and Zola Deeta (Smith) Collins. He graduated from Vinland Rural High School and attended Baker University.
Bill was united in marriage Nov. 26, 1958, to Frances “Carrol” Anderson in Baldwin City, Kansas.
He was a member of UAW 31 Automakers and retired from General Motors in 1994. He loved the Bible, fishing, hunting and was a avid KU sports fan.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two brothers, and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Carrol Collins, of the home; daughters, Nancy DeLaTorre, Susan Luthi, of Ottawa, KS; Karen Ashburn, Janet Yost (Edwin), of Aiken, South Carolina; Julie McCormick (Jeff), of Scammon, Kansas;, son, Bill Collins (Heidi), of De Soto, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one due in May; two sisters, Joy Stafford, of Walla Walla, Washington; Sue Von Bargen, of Baldwin City, Kansas; brother, Donald Collins, of Lawrence, Kansas; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
