A Dream of Dying
Last night I dreamt I died and went to Heaven. When I stood before God, He said, “I gave you the
knowledge of the Earth. You used that knowledge to kill my creatures, spoil the land and corrupt the
planet until you destroyed your own world. Why would I give you the knowledge of Heaven?”
Struck by the depth of His words, I replied, “I can do better!” God looked me in the eyes and said,
“Clarence, when you die, there is no change.”
The sudden heat reminded me of the planet I had left.
