Leigh Anne Bartlett scored two goals and the Ottawa University women’s soccer team shutout Sterling in its KCAC opener.

Bartlett, junior forward, scored her first goal with less than five minutes to go in the first half Tuesday at Braves Field in Ottawa. She scored again at the 58:58 mark in the second half, and less than four minutes later Abigail Rosales, senior midfielder, scored on a free kick. Ady Barraza, senior midfielder, assisted both of Bartlett’s goals.

The No. 25-ranked Lady Braves outwshot Sterling 19-2 in the 3-0 shutout. The visiting team did not get off a shot-on-goal.

Ottawa (5-2, 1-0 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference) is back at home 5 p.m. Saturday versus York College.
