City Band performs first concert in two years

The Ottawa City Band played its first performance in nearly two years Tuesday in the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium parking lot. The City Band will have concerts each Tuesday through the middle of July. The performances begin at 7:30 p.m.
City Band director Mark Paquette keeps the each member of the band on the same page. The band’s first concert of the season featured nine selections that ranged from James Swearingen’s Proud Spirit to David Shaffer’s Tribute and Triumph. Each Tuesday, the band will play several different styles of music in its hour-long performance.
