Franklin County Sheriff’s Department


– 11:51 a.m. Thursday, 846 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Kyle Morris, 23, Ottawa, was arrested on two Franklin County warrants for probation violation.

– 8:05 p.m. Thursday, 305 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Lindsey Likes, 36, Melvern, was arrested on an outside agency warrant.

– 9:38 p.m. Thursday, 210 E. Franklin Street, Pomona, Jeffrey Meade, 35, Melvern, was arrested on a outside agency warrant.

– 7:24 p.m. Friday, 305 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Lane Bristow, 20, Ottawa, was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear.

– 3:12 p.m. Saturday, 900 block of N. Poplar Street, Ottawa, Kayla Underwood, 31, Ottawa, was arrested on three Franklin County warrants for probation violation.

– 6:19 p.m. Sunday, 900 block W. 6th Street, Lane, Coby Pearson, 34, Osawatomie, was arrested for violation of a protection order, criminal use of a firearm, driving while suspended, and transporting an open container, after an investigation into a report of a possible protection order violation was reported at the address.


– 10:20 p.m. Thursday, 500 block of Eisenhower Road, a vehicle was found on its top in the middle of the road with no occupants. The vehicle owner was identified as Victoria Martinez, 32, Richmond. She advised who the possible driver may have been. A small amount of blood was found on the vehicle.

– 9:06 p.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Vermont Road, Roy Seichepine, 50, Osawatomie, was driving southbound in a 2017 Dodge Durango when he struck a deer that entered the roadway. Damage estimated over $1,000.


– 3:18 p.m. Thursday, 500 block of N. Dane Avenue, Williamsburg, a 33-year old Lawrence woman reported that her 15-year old daughter was molested by a known person sometime last summer.

– 10:41 a.m. Friday, 3700 block of Nebraska Drive, Ottawa, Shirley Broers, 64, Ottawa, reported that she found an inflatable canoe on her property in a creek. The canoe was collected as recovered property until the owner can be located.

– 1:27 p.m. Friday, 500 block of S. Elm Street, Lane, a 39-year old female and a 45-year old male, both from Lane, reported that they were each battered by the other. A report for domestic battery was forwarded to the County Attorney's Office for possible prosecution.


– 7:29 a.m. Thursday, 3300 block of Osborne Terrace, a 61-year-old Richmond woman reported a burglary at that occurred overnight. Total value of the items taken and damaged is $9,997.42.

– 12:30 p.m. Saturday, 2200 block of E. 15th Street, Ottawa, a 37-year-old Ottawa man reported his 2013 Coachmen camper was stolen out of storage. Total loss is $10,000. The case is under further investigation.

– 7:13 a.m. Sunday, 3000 block Kentucky Road, Ottawa, Aaron Douglas, 32, Ottawa, reported his barn was burglarized. Total loss approximately $21,070.

– 8:56 p.m. Friday, 800 South Willow Street, Ottawa, Christopher Livingston, 36, Ottawa, was arrested for domestic battery with a known 35-year-old Ottawa female.

– 10:05 p.m. Friday, 100 South Oak Street, Benjamin Slyter, 24, Ottawa, was arrested for criminal threat after a disturbance

– 3:55 a.m. Saturday, 300 West 9th Street, Khalil Ware, 38, Ottawa, was arrested for a Cass County, Mo., warrant.

– 3:10 p.m. Sunday, 305 S. Main (Franklin County Jail), Chancellor Fischer, 26, Osage City, was arrested for an active City of Ottawa warrant.

– 12:31 Sunday, 100 Walnut Street, Ottawa, William Bracey 39, Ottawa, was arrested on an out of county warrant.


– 12:39 p.m. Thursday, 1900 S. Eisenhower Avenue, Jennifer Papps, 57, Ottawa, was driving a 2008 Cadillac passenger car when it left the roadway. Papps was transported the Advent Health with injuries


– 10:43 a.m. Thursday, 700 N. Cedar Street, a 42-year-old Ottawa male reported that an unknown suspect stole a generator from a construction site.

– 2:45 p.m. Thursday, 100 W. 15th Street, a 51-year-old Ottawa female reported being the victim of fraud.

– 11:08 a.m. Saturday, 2101 S. Princeton (Walmart Supercenter), a 27-year-old Ottawa male reported the past theft of items from the business. Case is under investigation.

– 1:08 a.m. Sunday, 700 block of S., a 65-year-old Ottawa female reported that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and took items. Case is under investigation
