OU flag football roster grows

The Ottawa University women’s flag football team’s roster continues to grow.

The first-year program signed three players for the 2021 season.

Clara Beaudoin, Montreal, Canada, is a transfer from the University of Montreal. Ylla Aparece and Nico Delacarrera are both from Las Vegas. Aparece is from Ed W. Clark High School, and Delacarrera is the sixth player from Green Valley High School to sign with the Braves.

Beaudoin is a quarterback and receiver. She played in the 2020 International Bowl with Team Canada. Beaudoin was named in the Top 24 of Canada in 2020. In 2019, she earned D1 All-State honors and was named Flag Football MVP.

Beaudoin plans to major in engineering.

Aparece lettered in flag football and basketball in high school. The receiver, in just her first year of playing flag football, helped Clark to a third-place finish at the Nevada State Flag Football Tournament. She led the Chargers to an undefeated SW League championship.

Aparece was selected for an all-star game, earned All-SW Division II honors, was named Academic All-State, was named to the Desert-Region All-Star Team, earned Offensive Player of the Year honors and led the state of Nevada in receiving yards for the 2019-20.

She plans to major in biology. The former basketball MVP finished in the top 15% of her graduating class and is the first person in her family to attend college and play sports.

Delacarrera lettered in flag football and soccer at Green Valley. She helped the Gators to a 2019 and 2020 Nevada State championship and a 2019 and 2020 regional championship. Delacarrera was selected to play in an all-star game. She plans to major in psychology.
