Former Ottawa University Choir Director Stanley DeFries passed away November 24 at the age of 92, according to the Lawrence Journal-World. DeFries grew up in Muncie, Kansas and became involved in vocal and instrumental groups as a child.

Laurel Duaine Lindholm, 100, died October 26, 2021 at LMH Health in Lawrence, Kansas. His visitation was held Monday, November 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Worden Cornerstone Church, and his funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd also at the Worden Cornerstone Church where Duaine has been an active member since 1940. Burial followed the service at the Worden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions to Worden Cornerstone Church Youth Group or Douglas County 4-H Foundation. OTTAWA - Judy Greisen, 83, of Ottawa, KS passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her home. She was born June 23, 1938 in Baldwin City, KS the daughter of Orville and Beatrice (Evenson) Shotwell. Judy moved to Ottawa, KS as a young child, attending Ottawa schools.
