Ottawa eighth in KCAC Commisioners Cup race

Kansas Wesleyan University and Friends University are tied atop the standings for the 2021-22 KCAC Commissioner’s Cup after the fall season. The KCAC Commissioner’s Cup is awarded annually as a symbol of excellence in athletics representing 20 championships. Member institutions can earn points for their finish of each varsity team in those 20 officially recognized conference sports.

OTTAWA - Wayne L. Knight, 75, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Advent Health Shawnee Mission. He was born on April 3, 1946 in Bradford, Kansas, the son of Bill and Anna May (Newton) Knight.

Catherine Ann McClay

Catherine Ann McClay, 73, of Ottawa, KS passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at AdventHealth South Overland Park. She was born December 15, 1948 in Ottawa, KS the daughter of Robert G. Coleman and Ethel A. (Puvogel) Coleman. Cathy grew up and attended schools in Ottawa. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1967. She later attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS.
