Ottawa University has received 10 electronic bikes for students to use on and off-campus, thanks to a grant and partnerships with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, Ottawa Bike and Trail, RideKC, Bike Walk KC, and Live Healthy Franklin County. The bikes were first available for student use on January 26.
Wellsville High School senior Jimmy Dorsey broke his father’s school single-game scoring record in leading the Eagles Friday to a 90-28 win over Osawatomie. Dorsey netted 45 points to move past Brent Dorsey for the school mark.

Franklin County’s Isaac Wingert was part of the winning Ag Quiz Bowl Team at the Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) Young Farmers & Ranchers Leaders Conference on January 29th in Manhattan.
