Wellsville USD 289 receives KDHE Waste Tire Product Grant

Wellsville USD 289 has been selected to receive one of 28 grants from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE)’s Bureau of Waste Management, KDHE announced on Tuesday. The grants, which totaled over $436,000, will fund projects at municipalities and K-12 schools that include the use of recycled tire products, including playground surfacing and picnic tables.

Virgil C. Croucher

Virgil Croucher, 89, of Ottawa, KS passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at his home. He was born August 7, 1932 in Burlingame, KS the son of Henry Croucher and Georgia Ruth (Carter) Croucher.
