A Kansas prosecutor says he wants to try four 14-year-olds as adults in the shooting death of a Missouri man. They are among six teenagers charged in juvenile court with first-degree murder in the death of 19-yearold Marco Cardino, of Smithville, Missouri.

During their May 18 meeting, Franklin County commissioners discussed the opportunity to partner with the City of Wellsville for a new ambulance station. According to County Administrator Derek Brown, the city recently purchased a building that it plans to remodel into a new police station.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in his wife’s murder on May 16. That evening around 7:30 pm, LPD officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of West 6th Street, where they found 25-year-old Regan Gibbs, who was wounded and declared deceased at the scene.
