OHS volleyball ‘transitions’ to new group
Team chemistry can be tricky to accomplish. Coaches preach it, but the best way for it to happen is naturally.
Social media keeps WHS class connected
They may have last walked the halls of Wellsville High School as students over 40 years ago, but the WHS Class of 1981 has retained a bond withstanding decades. Although they’re now spread out all over the country, class members have been able to stay connected via Facebook, sharing milestones and memories with their childhood friends.
Transfers dot OU women’s basketball team
_e Ottawa University women’s basketball team is making a bid to improve its standing in the KCAC by adding several transfers. Two of the latest roster additions are Maria Moore, Mandan, North Dakota, transfer from Dakota College of Bottineau, and Ahoneste Walker,Edmond,Oklahoma, a transfer from Seminole State College.

KU men’s basketball to celebrate 125 years
_e University of Kansas, the winningest program in NCAA Division I history, will celebrate 125 years of KU men’s basketball during the 2022-23 season. Plans for the 125th season will include a reunion of all former players, coaches and staffs.
KU’s Neal on Doak Walker watch list
University of Kansas running back Devin Neal has been named a preseason candidate for the 2022 Doak Walker Award. _e rising sophomore burst onto the scene last year as a true freshman with 707 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 158 carries, averaging 4.2 yards per carry in his debut season.
KSU volleyball receives academic honors
he Kansas State University volleyball team received academic honors for the 12th straight year/ _e Wildcats received the USMC/ AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year. _e honor — which is given to programs with a team grade-point average of 3.30 or higher during the academic year — is the 20th in K-State volleyball history.
OU softball adds juco pitcher
_e two-time defending KCAC champion Ottawa University softball team keeps adding pieces for the 2023 season. _e Lady Braves signed pitcher Ashlynn Mercer, Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
Preseason make or break for many Chiefs players
_e Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff will be making a lot of observations through the next couple of weeks as the preseason schedule begins. _e Chiefs open their preseason slate Saturday against the Chicago Bears.
