City approves purchase of Ottawa Country Club
Ottawa city commissioners are proceeding with plans to buy the local country club, hoping the purchase adds another amenity to the community. In early August, commissioners heard from Ottawa County Club Association’s board members Mike Hiatt and Kathy Gretencord, who told them how the association’s equity group was accepting offers from groups interested in purchasing the property located at 1001 E.
35th-Annual River Run begins Friday
The Ol’ Marais River Run kicks off its 35th year Friday night with its traditional cruise down Main Street featuring vehicles of all makes and models. The annual event is sponsored by the Over the Road Gang, a nonprofit organization comprised of approximately 30 families.
