Shrine Bowls teams with Mammoth

The Kansas Shrine Bowl will have its first-ever sponsor for its iconic 50th game. Mammoth, a design build sports construction partner will be the game’s first ever presenting sponsor for next year’s game on July 15, 2023, at Lewis Field at Fort Hays State University.

OU’s Blessington reaches milestone

Melissa Blessington has taken the Ottawa University women’s volleyball program to another level. The coach led the Ottawa women’s program to five KCAC regular-season championships, six KCAC Tournament championships, seven NAIA National Tournament appearances, and five NAIA Final Site Appearances the past eight seasons.

Kansas public university, community and technical college headcount declines by 1%

TOPEKA — Enrollment at state universities, community colleges and technical colleges in Kansas this fall semester dwindled 1 percent to accentuate a five-year decline in student headcount of more than 9 percent, officials said rsday. Kansas Board of Regents, which has oversight roles among seven universities, 19 community colleges and seven technical colleges, reported 165,198 students enrolled at start of the 2022 academic year.

WINFIELD BLUEGRASS PART TWOTh FRIENDS, OLD AND NEW

Dear Readers, Last week, in Part One of ee about my recent Winfield Bluegrass experiences, I chronicled how it was impossible to be anything other than happy camper. Even if camping hadn’t been such a cinch, I like to think I would have maintained a cheery disposition. Luckily for me and for my friends old and new, we never had to find if that were truly the case. Happy campers all, my pals and I had a ball.
