Commissioners expected to discuss possible electric rate increase
Ottawa City commissioners were expected to discuss the city’s electric utility rate structure during Monday’s study session at city hall. The reason for the discussion, officials said, was because despite a recent electric rate increase in 2021, expenses continue to increase, including the ever-changing demand for power and the need to purchase additional electricity.
