Kansas tax revenue lags revised November projection by more than 5%

The revised Kansas tax revenue projections proved too bullish in November as the state government collected 5.3 percent less than anticipated during the month. Economists and fiscal analysts increased by more than $750 million the state’s projected revenue for the current fiscal year, reasoning inflation would continue to stimulate expansion in tax collections.

Safe mobility serves as driving factor during Older Driver Safety week

Keeping older adults active in their communities and maintaining safe transportation are the goals of Older Driver Safety Awareness Week, which is Dec. 5-9. Normal activity such as shopping, working, volunteering and socializing should not become safety limitations or strand seniors at home, according to the American Occupational Therapy Association.
