O-Town Reads book discussions

Flags at half-staff: a symbol of mourning
On Jan. 29, former President Jimmy Carter passed away. Since then, former President Biden ordered all U.S. flags at federal locations like U.S. embassies, military and government buildings lower flags to half-staff to honor the former late president.

Black History Month Proclamation
February 2025 has been proclaimed as Black History Month at an Ottawa City Commission meeting. Richard Jackson and Erin Christopher spoke and accepted this order. Erin Christopher is the President of the Black Student Union at Ottawa University.
