Franklin County endures damage-free winter storm
From the winter storm on Jan. 4 and 5, many damages occurred to publicly owned land and infrastructure in the state of Kansas. Many counties have requested financial support to mend the damages caused by the storm. This support request was made to Governor Kelly’s office. Due to the many counties that incurred damages, Kelly had to file an extension for the president to declare a major disaster. This extension was approved and the state is working on obtaining the funding to fix the damages.
