John W. Rea passed away, November 15, 2022, with his loving wife, Lorna, by his side. He was 82.

John was a lifelong resident of Ottawa, Ks. After attending Ottawa schools, he joined the Air Force in 1958. John barbered 40 years in downtown Ottawa, making the men of Ottawa handsome.

On May 10, 1964, John married Phyllis Martin and they were blessed with 5 children. They later divorced.

John was united in marriage on September 21, 1996 to Lorna Cruse. They enjoyed 26 wonderful years of marriage.

John loved riding his bicycle on the Rail Trail and spending time with his children and grandchildren. After becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1971, he enjoyed sharing Bible truths with everyone he met. John will always be remembered as a kind and loving man.

John is survived by his wife, Lorna Rea; sister, Shirley Allen; children: Joyce Rea, Jason Rea, Jayne (Randy) Altic, Jeff Rea, JoAnna (Brandon) Pierce, Ena Cruse and Jeremy (Reem) Cruse, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be announced.
