Cutline:Congratulations to Oral Surgery of Kansas, our Business of the Week Donuts for Do-Gooders recipient. Oral Surgery of Kansas was founded by two doctors in Lawrence, Drs. Weber and Wise. Through the years, as ownership changed, they added offices in Emporia, Ottawa, Topeka and most recently in Manhattan. One thing in common for all six of the current doctors is they have served in the military: four in the Air Force and two in the Army. Drs. Brendan, Harvey, Neilson, Christine, Bell and Odom all rotate within their five offices, five days a week, offering oral and maxillofacial surgery, which includes extractions, implants and biopsies. These unsung heroes, along with their staff, never closed during the pandemic. They wanted to be able to serve and provide care to their patients who really needed them. This is the same reason that their Ottawa office will be expanding their service hours from three days a week (currently Monday, Wednesday and Friday) to five days a week on July 23. Working and training together in the Ottawa office are (from left) Breckon, Erica, Melissa, Megan, Lynsey, Shelby, Amanda, Patty, Dr. Odom, Karen D., Christina and Karen R. Thursday marked Lynsey's birthday (she’s holding the donuts) and the staff celebrated by wearing leopard-print accessories (Lynsey's favorite). How fun!
Thank you Oral Surgery of Kansas for being a part of our community and your commitment to continue to serve!
