Christina Brewer nominated this week’s Donuts for Do-Gooders recipient, Kirby Snider, for helping his customers with their gas and forever being welcoming into the store, as if they were family. Kirby, and his wife, Angie, bought BluSky Liquor in 2008 after they decided to move back home from being in Overland Park for 18 years. Both are third-generation Ottawans and are Ottawa High School grads. BluSky is “more than a liquor store,” offering groceries, fuel (since 2020)and liquor (“quenching Ottawa’s thirst since 1999”) and is located at the corner of 9th and Main. They are open seven days/week. Kirby said they were “thankful to be in Ottawa” and to the hometown they love. Make sure to check them out, and say thank you for investing in the community. Also make sure to check out their digital signage our front, providing information and occasional quips! Photos by Betty Birzer for The Ottawa Herald
