Intense rain causes flooding
Flooding brought a lot of debris down the Marais des Cygnes getting caught by the Main Street bridge. The collection of debris down river this past week was due to the excessive rain that passed through Franklin County.
Candidates apply for city and school board
Individuals in Franklin County have applied for the open city and school board positions. 20 people have signed up for USD 287, 288, 289 and 290 school boards.
FFA degree awarded
High School students of Franklin County and Future Farmers of America (FFA) members were awarded a State FFA Degree at the 97th Kansas FFA Awards.
Giving with printing
Kansas State Bank made some updates to their office with new printers and donated the previously used ones to two organizations in the community. The printers were donated to Hope House and Bethel Christian Academy.
