Movie night set for Saturday
In honor of the late-Olivia Newton-John and her battle with breast cancer, AdventHealth is sponsoring a special showing of “Grease” at 5 p.m. Saturday (today) at Plaza 1907, 209 S. Main, in Ottawa. Admission is $9 for adults and $8 for seniors 65 and older. Children ages 3-11 are $8, while those 2 and under are free with an adult. Proceeds raised will be donated to the Franklin County Cancer Foundation.
Bike, trail celebration planned
Ottawa Bike and Trail is partnering with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to host a special bike and trail celebration event to celebrate and support the Connecting Communities, Cultures and Landscapes project.

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks have issued public health advisories for area Kansas lakes due to blue-green algae. A harmful algal bloom may look like foam, scum or paint floating on the water and be colored blue, bright green, brown or red.
