Johnson County and RideKC announced Wednesday, June 29 its micro transit routes are increasing their service area along with adding Sunday service that would begin Tuesday, July 5. Fares will be adjusted based on distance traveled to either three or five dollars.
Local Wichita State University students were among the 3,178 students who were on the WSU Dean’s Honor Roll for spring 2022. To be included on the honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
For someone who has never been to a movie premiere, even one for an Independent Film, I was SO excited! It met all my expectations and more! Before the show, we met at a bar close to the theatre, where there was a private party for the show staff and their families. We grabbed a drink and ordered some crab cakes.

U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran visited to the AdventHealth facility in Ottawa Tuesday. “This week, I had the opportunity to visit AdventHealth in Ottawa for a tour of their facility,” Moran wrote in a news release. “During the visit, I saw firsthand the efforts of the staff at AdventHealth to provide quality health and wellness care for the surrounding community. The Franklin County Development Council (FCDC) partnered with Wichita State University’s W. Frank Barton School of business to conduct a labor study for Franklin County and surrounding areas. Findings from the study, which was the first of its kind conducted in the area since 2015, were published on June 24.
