Ottawa University hosted a Zoom presentation by history and geography professor Dr. Steven Foulke on March 9 called “Let’s Talk About Ukraine”. Using his background in cultural geography, Foulke explained the history of Ukraine, why Russian President Vladimir Putin chose to invade, and what could come next for the country, which has been ravaged by onslaughts of Russian troops since the invasion began in February of 2022.

The Franklin County Historical Society will be hosting the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” at the Old Depot Museum from August to October 2023, FCHS Director Diana Staresinic-Deane announced Wednesday.
