TOPEKA — Republicans and Democrats on the House health committee voted Thursday to table consideration of a bill requiring no-bid contract extensions for Kansas Medicaid providers until the state’s attorney general delivered an opinion about legality of the maneuver.

Wellsville residents are now getting fresh produce delivered to town biweekly thanks to Live Healthy Franklin County’s new Harvest to Home program. According to Live Healthy Franklin County Coordinator Sheila Robertson, Harvest to Home is modeled after a similar program in Leoti, Kansas, called Simply Produce.
The Franklin County Emergency Communication Center has promoted Sarah Peffly to 911 Director, the organization announced Wednesday.
