However, one important effort that must remain the first line of defense is effective testing. With the holiday season in full swing, we cannot let our guards down. Testing, combined with other defensive measures, is essential to keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe.

KDHE Expands COVID-19 booster eligibility to 12 to 15-year-olds, adds third primary dose for immunocompromised children

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has expanded eligibility for the COVID-19 booster shot and an additional primary dose for immunocompromised children following authorization from the Food & Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

AdventHealth Ottawa Auxiliary giving out scholarships to Franklin Co. students studying health fields

The AdventHealth Ottawa Auxiliary will be giving out scholarships to medical students living in Franklin County or working for AdventHealth Ottawa to use toward their education in a health-related field. To qualify for the scholarship, students must be enrolled in or accepted to a health program offered by an accredited institution and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. Pre-Medical and Pre-Nursing students are not eligible for this scholarship.
