TOPEKA — Legislation sent to the full Kansas Senate would prohibit counties from sending applications for advance ballots to registered voters unless specifically requested by the individual and forbid counties from pre-printing a person’s name or address on applications to avoid problems with illegible handwriting.Nothing in the bill would block special-interest organizations, political parties or wealthy individuals from sending advance ballot applications to potential voters in Kansas.

Search for man ends in discovery of body
An 84-year-old Pomona man who was the subject of a search this weekend was found deceased Sunday in rural Franklin County.Franklin County Sheriff’s officials reported shortly after 4 p.m.
