OHS grads ‘proud’ of mural

Two 2024 Ottawa High School graduates completed a project beyond their imaginations.Graci Campbell and Makena Ranzenberger were charged with taking a blank space at the Juvenile Intake and Assessment Services area within the former Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) and transforming the space with art.Not just a regular art piece, but huge mural to give the room a calming effect.

Veteran Continues Legacy To Support and Honor Franklin County’s Military

Buck Bradley, current President of the Franklin County Honors Charity, is carrying the torch his grandmother, Sherry Wright, ignited along with other charter members.Previously known as the Ottawa Better Celebration Committee, this organization started in 1994 to honor the military veterans living within and around Franklin County.
