Kimball to step down as district magistrate judge

District Magistrate Judge Kevin Kimball will retire March 1 after serving 18 years in the 4th Judicial District, state court officials announced last week.The 4th Judicial District is composed of Franklin, Osage, Coffey and Anderson counties.Kimball was appointed district magistrate judge in 2005 after serving 25 years in law enforcement with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.“As a public servant, helping the community was a top priority,” Kimball said.
