Gary Max Hoffsommer of Topeka, Kansas went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 6, 2022. Gary’s family included his beloved wife Karen of 39 years and daughters Michelle Hollenbeck of Colorado Springs, CO, Debra Young (Shane) of Overbrook, KS, and Lori Means (Mike) of Berryton, KS. He will also be missed by stepchildren Brenda Flanagan (Gary) of Topeka, Brad Berckefeldt of Grove, OK, Heather Thomas of Bartlesville, OK, and Erick Berckefeldt (Heather) of Topeka. In addition, Gary was blessed with 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was born February 26, 1956 in Lincoln, NE the daughter of Lee Roy Christenson and Marjorie Ann (Snyder) Christenson. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1974 in Oklahoma City, OK. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK where she met her husband.

Mary Ada Slemp, 71, of Ottawa, KS passed away Friday January 7, 2022 at Advent Health of Ottawa, KS. She was born October 12, 1950 in Beagle, KS the daughter of Phillip Lyons and Delores (Auterburn) Lyons. Mary’s father was in the military so they lived in various parts of the country when she was young. She graduated from Fairfax High School, Fairfax, VA with the class of 1969. She then moved to Ottawa, KS area and lived there since.
