This week being National Police Week, we are honored to recognize our brave men and women of the Ottawa Police Department as our unsung heroes and “Donuts for Do-Gooders” recipients.

I wake up in a relative’s apartment in another time zone to a beeping sound. It’s 4 a.m. That’s 3 for me. And it sounds like…yes…it is. An alarm clock is going off in the apartment below. It beeps and it beeps and it keeps on beeping. And after twenty minutes of beeping, I assume the neighbor is either dead or not at home, in which case he’ll wish he was dead when he gets home.

A few weeks ago, I hit a milestone that seems silly but gave me a huge sense of accomplishment. I reached my goal of closing all three of my fitness rings on my watch for 365 days in a row.
