The Ottawa University track & field teams notched eight personal records and one national qualifying “A” standard in the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic this weekend hosted by Northwest Missouri State University.

Lady Braves win 4 duals
The (RV) Ottawa University women’s wrestling team had a successful day Saturday at the William Penn Duals. Ottawa won four of the five duals.
Falcons shoot down Panthers
The West Franklin boys basketball team finished the Ike Cearfoss Tournament with a successful effort Friday in the seventh-place game. The Falcons topped KC Christian, 47-43.

Viking boys look to ‘grow’ in tourney
Basketball coaches use preseason tournaments to find out what kind of team they may have and see different teams than they are used to playing. Central Heights boys basketball coach Tyler Oestreicher is a big fan of those tournaments.
OU VB receives regional honors
The Ottawa University women’s volleyball team is receiving national and regional honors. Three members of the team were selected to the 2022 AVCA NAIA All-Region Teams. The trio landed on the AVCA NAIA West Central Teams.
OU’s Molnar named All-American
Ottawa University men’s sophomore forward Bence Molnar had one of the best individual seasons in program history. He was rewarded for it by being selected as an NAIA All-American.
