The Ottawa University women’s track team had its best performance in the KCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in nearly a decade. The Lady Braves finished fourth and had two individual champions as Laurel Barber took first in the javelin, and Nina Barbeiro won the 400-meter hurdles.
The West Franklin track teams stepped up their games in the Red Bud Classic’s large field Friday in Wellsville. The Falcons faced 18 other teams, including track powers such as Spring Hill, Louisburg, and Eudora.
The Central Heights track teams were not at full strength Friday in the NE Area Invitational. “With weather delaying the meet by a day and missing a large portion of the team due to the reschedule, we still managed to put together some very impressive performances at the NE Arma Invitational,” Central Heights coach Troy Prosser said.
