BONNER SPRINGS – Senior Cayden Turner placed fifth on the leader board at the Bonner Springs Invitational, leading the Ottawa Cyclones to third place in the team standings.
WELLSVILLE – After dropping the season opener, the Wellsville softball team bounced back with a 9-4 victory against Paola in the second game of the doubleheader for the split.
WELLSVILLE – Dylan Strenth struck out 14 batters for Wellsville in a one-run victory against Prairie View for the team’s first win of the season.
EMPORIA – Will Altic allowed one run on two hits as the Ottawa Cyclone baseball team opened the season with a 7-1 victory on the road against Emporia.
OTTAWA – Abby Tumberlin went 4-for-7 and drove home four runs to lead the Ottawa softball team to a doubleheader sweep against Emporia.
