OU softball fills recruiting class
The Ottawa University softball team recently added four signees to the 2023 recruiting class. The newest Lady Braves are Angelina Arriaga, Abilene, Texas; Emma Melvin, Sunnyvale, Texas; Lizzie Syler, San Angelo, Texas; and Rachel Pederson, Bentonville, Arkansas.

Hennes joins Braves football coaching staff
Ottawa University’s newest member of the football coaching staff has vast experience at multiple levels of college football. Tyler Hennes will be the co-offensive oordinator with associate head coach Julian Mendez and be the Braves’ special teams coordinator.

OU’s Johnson, Johnston named to AP All-American team
Two Ottawa University football players were named to the 2021 AP NAIA All-American teams. OU’s Colby Johnson and Devin Johnston were named to the second team defense.
The East roster for the 2022 Kansas Shrine Bowl includes players from the Frontier and Flint Hills leagues.
The rosters were announced this past weekend by the Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors. The 49th Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl will be played July 23 at Carnie Smith Stadium at Pittsburg State University.
