County Commission approves rezoning
The Franklin County Commission reviewed a rezoning application of about five acres of a A-1 Agriculture Zone to change to a R-E Residential Estate Zone. This request is made because the applicants are wanting to rehabilitate the home on the property so they can rent the home to a family member. The applicant is also requesting to rebuild the well on the property, and to construct a new home somewhere on the other 145 acres of the property that will remain in the A-1 district. It was recommended by county staff that the application be approved. The commissioners voted and approved this rezoning application.
