Clara C. Sayers, age 87 passed away Sept. 10, 2022, at her home in Pomona, KS. She was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Hickman, TN, the daughter of John J. Watts and Lela Pauline Williams Watts. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparent, Chester and Eliza Williams, bothers L.B. Watts and Doyle Watts, sister Hazel Severeid, and grandson Michael J. Ethridge.

She is survived by her husband George T Sayers, of the home, children Donna (Tom) Stephaniak; Paola, George M. (Meredith) Sayers; Pomona, John M. Tanner; Versailles, MO, Richard ”Rick” J. Tanner; Lake Ozark, MO, Debra Colbert; Lone Tree, IA. Grandchildren Richard S. Tanner, Levi Tanner, Ashley Cate, Brooklyn Colbert, Sarah Rundlett, Noah T. Sayers, Calum I. Sayers, adopted and stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Clara had been under hospice care through Elara Caring. The family owes a debt of gratitude to all of the caregivers who visited over the past five years.

Midwest Cremation of Topeka took care of her cremation.
