Ellen Lucille Gooding, 88, passed away on June 8, 2022, at her home in Williamsburg, Kansas. She was born on August 2nd, 1933, in Walnut, Kansas, to Tom and Florence Handrich.

She graduated from Grant township High School in Stark, Kansas.

On October 3rd, 1952, she married Raymond “Ray” Gooding.

She was a Nurse’s Aid at both Anderson County Hospital and Ransom Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a waitress, amd along with husband Ray, they ran the 50-59 Grill in Ottawa and Lucille’s Caféin Williamsburg.

She is survived ny her daughter’s Cynthia “Cindy” Gilmer of the home, and Tena Goudreau (Ken) of Williamsburg, and sons Bill Gooding of Williamsburg and MarkGooding (Mary) of Garnett, 17 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Florence Harclerode, her father Tim Handrich, her husband Ray Gooding and 3 sons Ivan Ray Gooding, David Gooding, Richard Gooding, and a daughter Teresa Gooding.

She will be cremated by Midwest Cremation in Topeka, Kansas.

A celebration of life will be held on June 25, at the Williamsburg Community Building at noon.
