Frankie Jane Derhammer, 75, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away at her home on Friday, January 28, 2022.
Family will meet with friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.
Frankie was born September 12, 1946, at Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Nutt) Hollingsworth.
She lived in California moving in the early 1970’s to Wellsville.
She graduated from Los Altos High School in Puente, California, with the Class of 1964.
Frankie was united in marriage to LaVelle Derhammer on June 19, 1965, at Tustin, California.
She was employed at Bendix King Radio in assembly for over 25 years.
She was a former member of Wellsville Baptist Church and Girl Scouts.
Frankie enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and boating. She enjoyed watching the KC Chiefs, shopping with her sisters Anita and Karen, and most of all spending time with all her family.
She was preceded in death by LaVelle Derhammer, parents, brother Larry Hollingsworth and sister Karen Moody.
Survivors include two children, LaVelle Derhammer, Jr. and partner Tyaudra Gray of Rantoul, Kansas, and Julie Allen and partner Scott Barrett of Gainesville, Georgia; sister Anita McDaniel of Lenexa, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Amanda Hough of Ottawa, Mariah Dennison (Alex) of Garnett, Brittany Derhammer, Olathe, Jeremy Derhammer, Ottawa, Wesley Derhammer, Ottawa, Nickia Derhammer of Rantoul, and Arabella Derhammer, Rantoul; four great grandchildren; longtime friend Ron McCray of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
