Jane Ellen Boles, 71, of Ottawa, KS passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born May 6, 1950 in Ottawa, KS the daughter of Robert Brenner and Nancy (Hartpence) Duncan. Jane grew up and attended schools in Ottawa, graduating from Ottawa High School. She was a lifelong Franklin County resident living in Ottawa, Williamsburg, and Richmond.
On September 17, 1977, Jane was united in marriage to Lloyd M. Boles Jr. in Ottawa, KS.
Jane was a lifelong homemaker. She also worked many years as a case manager for Franklin County Mental health and Kaw Valley. She was a member of Hope Anthem Church, Ottawa, KS.
Jane was a lifelong artist. She regularly wrote poetry and loved to paint. In her youth she was a singer and enjoyed performing in a band. She and Lloyd enjoyed taking long trips on their motorcycle. Most of her time was dedicated to her many beloved friends and especially her family. She loved to joke around and tease her loved ones. She loved cooking for her family and friends and was always excited to gather everyone for a game of cards.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; parents, Robert Brenner, and Nancy Duncan; two sisters Rebecca Horton, Linda Sauer; two brothers, Samuel Lee, Wesley Taylor; her step father, Duane Lee; and her step mother, Thelma Brenner.
She is survived by her daughter Julie Furst and her husband Rick, Richmond, KS; step daughter, Sherri Boles and her husband Max Rivera, Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, McKenna Furst, Brec Furst, Nelson Boles; sister, Marty Schuster, Napa, ID; three brothers, Andy Lee, Meridian, ID; Matt Lee, Ottawa, KS, Corey Brenner, Ottawa; Step-Mother, Mary Ann Lee, Omaha, NE; brother-in-law, Jack Sauer, Olathe; KS; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jane’s Life will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St., Ottawa, KS. Inurnment will follow at Richmond Cemetery.
